The VersFit program is built on three central pillars: nutrition, training and accountability. Since building real muscle takes longer than losing fat, we start with a minimum 90 day commitment to get the ball rolling in the right direction. 

We combine the knowledge and expertise of our CEO Carson Twitchell and our Coach Garrett Phillips, with the ease and convenience of our mobile app so you can workout at any time following a guided routine designed specifically for you and to help you achieve your fitness goals. 

It's a real personal trainer in your pocket ready to go with you and to help you build lean muscle. Additionally, you will be able to check in with your trainer to make sure you are on the right track!

Carson
Twitchell

Carson hales from OC, CA, where he grew up playing a myriad of sports and piano. He attended BYU where he studied Music, Dance and Theatre, until he was expelled from the university for having a boyfriend, just two semesters prior to graduating with a BFA.

 

As a performer, the way that you look is a huge part of your career! Soon after he began working professionally as a performer/singer, Carson wanted to become more competitive in auditions by taking his commitment to fitness to the next level. He quickly learned that the best way to look and feel your best, is simply to practice integrity with your diet and exercise: the fewer corners you cut, the better you look and feel!

 

After an ACL tear, Carson was no longer able to dance, and thus began his transition into the Health & Fitness industry when he left NYC and accepted a position as an instructor with Barry’s in Chicago. In addition to being a full time Senior Instructor, Carson also trained clients privately, where he mastered his ability to cue proper form and technique to clients as they lift.

 

After his life changing knee injury, Carson values alignment, efficiency and safety above all. He will teach you how to eat in a goal conscious way, how to maximize your time and energy in the gym, while minimizing the impacts on your joints and cartilage, all in pursuit of preserving the longevity of your mobility.

Garrett
Phillips

With nearly a decade of professional experience in the fitness industry, Garrett brings a wealth of knowledge and a genuine passion for helping clients achieve their health and fitness goals. 

 

His journey began over 15 years ago when he first set foot in a gym, navigating through various body compositions and fitness struggles before reaching his own personal triumphs. 

 

From overcoming the challenges of being overweight to battling the dreaded “skinny-fat” phase, and even embracing the journey of bulking up and slimming down, Garrett's path to success was marked with challenges and setbacks, and achieved via determination and consistency. 

 

Equipped with dual certifications from the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) in Personal Training (CPT) and Nutrition Coaching (CNC), Garrett specializes in crafting customized routines tailored to each client's specific needs and aspirations. 

 

Whether you're aiming for bodybuilding aesthetics, seeking strength gains, or striving for fat loss, Garrett's expertise and personalized hands-on approach ensure that you'll reach your goals in an efficient and sustainable way.

 

Beyond just physical transformations, Garrett understands the profound impact that fitness can have on one's mental health and self-esteem, having experienced its myriad of benefits firsthand.

Nathan Lucrezio

Four months ago I decided to sign up for Carson’s 12 week fitness program. I knew it was going to be tough but I didn't realize how intricate it can be when trying to transform your body.From protein consumption, to calorie intake, to deficits, to different exercises, to weight training, to abs, to cardio, to overall nutrition...It can be a full time job. But the process is what matters. It grounded me and gave me something to focus on. As well as I had Carson there to mentor, build my program, and answer all of my questions. I know I don't compare to the insta fitness models or the genetic physique certain men are gifted with but I'm proud of this process and that I saw it through. I know many of you don't follow me for this content and this isn't my brand but I wanted to share what I have been up to and the results that came along the way. The first two photos I took today and the third is from my first day of training. I know I still have a ways to go but I'm going to keep figuring it out. My biggest challenge was to find the balance between fitness and maintaining flexibility as a dancer. Keeping that in mind has made my body stronger and grounded me as I found the connection between the two. Here's to a rockin' summer and to all those out there working hard on their bodies. All the love.

Bryan Humphrey

I’ve worked out in some form or fashion, off and on with trainers for over 30 years. Never really getting the results I was hoping for, never getting the support I needed, and rarely finding someone that gives their time and attention with a sincere interest in knowing you and celebrating your success in and out of the gym. That all changed with Carson and Body By Carson. Carson is kind.  He is a coach that cares, knows the workouts that are going to get you to your best fitness level and he is going to be there to support you through it all. I’ve cried with Carson cuz life is hard, shared my successes with him as well as the mundane. He hasn’t just been a coach to me for fitness, but a friend to lend an ear. For me, that is the secret sauce that has kept me captivated and motivated in this journey with the Body By Carson program. Now, this is a lifestyle for me and this journey will only get better. I have gained about 7-8lbs of muscle over the 12 weeks.  Working on getting summer ready. Carson has tailored the program to meet my goals and it is working.  I’m excited to see where my fitness level and physique go. My biggest hesitation prior to joining Body By Carson was if this new routine of programming was really going to work for me. I was an avid class-goer and had set my daily routine around attending class in the morning and going about my day. I thrive off of structure. I was afraid that this new type of program, with a personal trainer, that I’ve never explored before, was almost too ‘flexible.’ [...] Turns out, I was wrong. This has taught me to relax a bit and make time for myself during the day when I need it most, not just to align with a class time. This program from Carson absolutely works for me and my lifestyle. While I still enjoy the occasional workout class, I now see them as a supplement to enjoy when I’m seeking a high energy environment and not a check mark on my to-do list each day. What to expect now? 

Shortly after you apply to be a member of the Body by Carson program, you will be contacted to set an appointment where we can connect to get a better understanding of your struggles and your goals.

 

Once we have a good understanding of those, our team will share with you their assessment, and touch on some of the tools and resources available to you in an online space.

 

After that, we will proceed with realizing your goals and raising your confidence to the next level. You will be able to start with your program as early as the following Monday!

GOODBYE COMFORT ZONE!  🙋🏻‍♂️

I’m excited to share with you all that i am now beginning to bulk in preparation for my first Men’s Physique competition later this year! 💪🏻
I will be doing this competition naturally, so no steroids, no testosterone etc so that I can see what my body is capable of achieving without the use of performance enhancing drugs (or “PEDs”). 
At 6’1, I currently weigh about 197 lbs. I’m hoping to gain 20-25 lbs for the competition... which will make me ~15 lbs larger than I’ve ever weighed! 🦍
Since I’m doing this naturally, this bulk will be a long, steady process that will take me the better part of 2023. Like a marathon, or tuff mutter, or a triathlon, body building is an extreme sport, and therefore requires next level discipline and commitment. 
Honestly, at this point I’m more interested in seeing what my body is capable of than I am in actually winning the competition. 
I am so excited to LEARN from this process, guided by my new friend and coach @klassic_kovacs 🤓🙌🏻
I have wanted to compete since I was 11 years old! And now that I’m finally doing it, I’m excited to do this for many reasons. 
But I think I’m most excited to shed light on what is achievable without the use of steroids, so that i (and anyone who cares to join me) may develop more clear and realistic expectations for aesthetic possibilities, and break the internal cycle of body dysmorphia born of unrealistic expectations. 🫶🏻
I will be sharing my wins, my losses, my challenges and my learnings as I go. Standby if you care to learn with me and LFG 🚀💥
